The Minister’s Advisory Council on Teacher Certification (MACTC) is a provincially legislated council with a rich history of providing advice to the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development to support the certification of teachers in Nova Scotia. After a three-year hiatus, MACTC has been re-established to continue to support the teaching profession. The renewed council will make recommendations to raise the profile of teaching profession, to protect the integrity of the Nova Scotia Teacher’s Certificate, and to ensure all teachers are well-prepared to teach our province’s students.
